About

Greetings in the name of the Lord!

This blog is about my passions (minus my family). I am a Reformed Christian and that will influence what I post.

I follow a gluten free diet and love to cook and homebrew. Much of this blog will focus on homebrewing as I have learned a lot about gluten free brewing through trial and error as when I started there wasn’t much out there. Some of my other interests are hiking, creation, amateur-homesteading and reading.

So why the Three Taverns Brewery?

Well, I like to imagine I have my own little brewpub here at home (though I don’t)! But if I did, why call it Three Taverns Brewery?  In Acts 28.15, as Paul approaches Rome for his appearance before Caesar, some brothers in Christ meet him at Three Taverns. When Paul saw his brothers in the faith, the Holy Scriptures say he “thanked God and took courage.” I doubt it, but I like to think it was some Dutch Courage he took. 🙂 Nevertheless, I’m certain he found much refreshment and strength in the fellowship with his brothers in Christ and so whether it is virtual or not, I hope this version of Three Taverns proves to be a source of encouragement and strength for you.

As a Reformed Christian of the one, true, historic, Protestant faith I live with the intent that in everything God receives all the glory. So as the Apostle said, “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1st Corinthians 10.31 ESV).

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

  1. Hey there, thanks for subscribing to Daily Confession! “Hasidic Calvinist” is quite a provocative name! I’d love to see a post about it.

I’m also a homebrewer, and will be poking around your site, looks like you have a lot of good ideas. I might try me some hopped cider
